IDEA: the solution for cage assembly
Cage assembly, traditionally done by hand, represents the most expensive phase of the entire bar processing.
The high costs and the difficulty of the onsite production have led to a great demand for more modern solutions and innovative processes to transfer the production from job sites to shaping centers.
IDEA was designed to meet this need. It is the ideal Schnell solution for cage assembling by means of the patented 'Schnell System': thanks to three thin longitudinal wires, which may be welded to any point of the stirrup's exterior surface, IDEA cage assembling machine is able to half-assemble lattice girders of stirrups of any shape and size.
The process is really simple:
- the stirrups are inserted;
- the clamps weld the stirrups to the three longitudinal wires;
- the girder slides forward with controlled and programmable movements.
The structure supporting bars are then fixed to the girder: since the stirrups are already fixed and spaced, it is sufficient to tie the bars every 5-6 stirrups.
