It was 1992 when Schnell first met Mr. Masashi Oribe and began its journey into the Japanese market, with the goal of “promoting non-Japanese products in Japan.”

Masashi first visited Schnell’s headquarters in Rosciano in 1994, when he was still very young and accompanied by his father, Shigeichi Oribe. Two years later, after a long and demanding negotiation process, Schnell Japan was established.

The company soon became known for the quality of Schnell machinery and today there are around 300 Schnell machines operating in Japan, including Bar Wiser, Coil, Robomaster and, more recently, Meshline.

As the construction industry increasingly demands higher efficiency, automatic machines that help reduce labor requirements are becoming more and more important. Thanks to the Japanese focus on precision and accuracy, together with the advanced technology of the machines installed, Japanese rebar shops stand out for their high level of organization and production quality compared with many facilities in Europe and other countries.

The company operates with a team of just six people and provides installation and maintenance services.

As Mr. Masashi explains: “What sets Schnell apart from other companies in Japan is the constant commitment to finding the right solution for each customer.”

The true strength of the 30-year collaboration between Schnell Japan and Schnell lies in the way two very different cultures have come together: the optimism, open-mindedness and creativity of the Italian approach on one side, and the patience and precision of the Japanese approach on the other.
