The modern history of Schnell Monteprandone began in 2010, but its roots go back to 1991, the year Gricor was founded, a company partly owned by Schnell S.p.A. and specialized in the production of cage machines and cutting systems.

In 2009, following the global economic crisis and a sharp decline in orders, Gricor’s founding partners decided to sell their shares, no longer believing in the continuity of the business.
In September 2010, Schnell acquired 100% of the company’s share capital, launching a new industrial and strategic phase: the company was renamed Schnell Impianti and fully integrated into the Group.

These were complex years, marked by the need to rebuild trust, strengthen the corporate climate, and relaunch production activities, a challenge made even more demanding by recent investments in facilities and land.

In 2015, the company was officially renamed Schnell Monteprandone, aligning the name of the facility with the Group’s strategy of identifying its production sites through the Schnell brand and their geographic location.

From that moment on, the plant began to grow steadily: the number of employees increased, and alongside the traditional production of cage machines and cutting plants, the company introduced the manufacturing of small industrial cutting and bending machines, assembly machines, and automatic stirrup benders

To make room for these new productions, the mechanical machining department was gradually phased out, allowing for the expansion of the machine range.

Today, Schnell Monteprandone employs approximately 70 people, including production and office staff.
In addition to the historical facility in Via del Lavoro, a new 3,000 m² production plant has been built a few hundred meters away, dedicated to the manufacturing of single machines.

The main site is now focused on producing ground buffer cutting plants, increasingly complex, large-scale systems tailored to meet specific customer requirements

The team brings together long-standing professionals and many young additions introduced in recent years.

The key reference point of the facility is Plant Director Carlo Sgarzini, who has led the evolution of Schnell Monteprandone with commitment and vision since 2010, guiding it through every phase of its transformation.

Today, the company looks to the future with a clear idea: to become the Group’s benchmark plant specialized in the production of cutting and processing systems, further strengthening its strategic role within the Schnell Group.
