SWM, the new business unit dedicated to the Wire & Mesh industry!
For more than 15 years now, Schnell has been investing in the production of increasingly high-performance, fast and reliable wire mesh machines and plants.
To improve our products and establish ourselves more and more in the Wire & Mesh industry, we have set up a new dedicated Business Unit: Schnell Wire & Mesh (SWM).
Qualified professionals and specialised technicians continuously research, design and implement state-of-the-art solutions for the Wire & Mesh sector; the aim is to constantly improve our products to meet the needs of an ever-changing market.
Moreover, thanks to a dedicated After-Sales Team, we assist Schnell Wire & Mesh customers at 360°.

SWM Technical Area
Schnell's wide range of electro-welded wire mesh machines, cold drawing lines and wire straightening machine for industrial applications is constantly being developed and improved.
Always in search of innovation, SWM's team of designers and Softwarists is working on the development of the Versa Line project: a versatile plant for the production of both standard and engineered electro-welded mesh panels.
The goal is the constant improvement of performance to achieve product industrialisation, reducing costs and production waste and therefore also the final price.
Other important innovations already introduced to the Wire & Mesh industry are:
- the Mass Sensor: the innovative sensor that allows real-time monitoring of the actual section (and relative weight) of the wire being processed, immediately alerting the operator of any deviation. The operator can then intervene and bring the wire back into the desired tolerance range.
- the development of the RI range of wire straightening machine for industrial applications, capable of meeting any requirement in the processing of industrial wire from Ø 1 to Ø 13 mm.
SWM sales team
SWM has developed a dense worldwide sales team: competent local agents, well established in the territory, act as a bridge between our company and customers around the world, consolidating our worldwide presence.
A customised and timely service that promptly meets the needs of each market and guarantees constant support to our customers everywhere: this is the key role of our local agents, coordinated by SWM Area Managers.
SWM After-Sales Division
To better support our customers and guarantee fast and reliable service, we have set up a dedicated after-sales service for Schnell Wire & Mesh customers.
Our team provides technical solutions for Schnell Wire & Mesh machines and systems.
The After-Sales Service guarantees:
- Call Centre Service for timely telephone support on Schnell Wire & Mesh machines and systems.
- Warranty and post-warranty maintenance of SWM machines.
- Original and certified spare parts: Schnell has a large spare parts warehouse for Schnell Wire & Mesh machines and systems.
- Specific training and education programmes for SWM wire & mesh machines and systems, dedicated to customers' technicians and operators.
Dedicated Industrial Wire Team
SWM has developed an innovative range of rotor wire straightening machines to process a wide range of steel wires used in a variety of industrial applications: fencing, household & appliances, electrical & automotive, furniture & shop fittings and many others.

SWM production area
The production phase of the SWM Division is carried out in dedicated factories.
The plants for the production of electro-welded wire mesh are manufactured in the Colli al Metauro site, while the cold drawing machines and the production of straighteners and wire straightening machines for industrial wire are manufactured in Frontone.
Dedicated areas allow production times to be significantly reduced, avoiding waste of time and resources, ensuring punctual delivery to customers and a high-quality finished product, supplied without rushing.
